Scoreboard
  What's the "Scoreboard"?
It is an ongoing periodic game to motivate members to participate actively in MyHomeTown.sg and to make it more vibrant. There may be prizes like home-related products or vouchers from popular supermarkets or shopping malls to reward our members. Contest points will be reset to ZERO on the starting day of each new qualifying period to ensure fairness. Note that contest points and accumulated points are different.
  How to score points?
Every new blog entry and comment, blog recommendation and comment at Blog Central, forum post and picture uploaded to Photo Gallery will score a point. However, members who abuse the points system by spamming Blogs, Forums or Photo Gallery or by any other unethical means (refer to Do's and Don'ts) will be disqualified from future games. So, be good okay? Do note that an administrator's decision to award is final.
How to find out scores by District and Members besides those on the homepage?

You can see the scores under “Scoreboard”.
Scores By Districts show a sortable list of scores by the members of each district. Scores By Members show a sortable list of members' avatar, username and scores.

Why are all the contest points “0”?

Because it's a new qualifying period!

Why is my score “0” or "1" and it doesn't accumulate despite my active postings in the forum?

If your 6-digit postal code entered in your profile is not valid in Singapore and cannot be mapped into any of the 28 districts, your district will be shown as "0" and no points will be accumulated to your score.

So, enter the correct postal code in your profile ;)

Since the site is called "MyHomeTown.SG", why not categorize members, forum, blogs and photo galleries by Town instead of 28 Districts?

Well, everyone has a postal code in Singapore and not everyone knows exactly for sure which Town they should belong to.
We choose the old postal district system because it's a common and easy to understand system related to properties. It also has less numbers than the new postal codes where there are 82 sectors! Imagine surfing through 82 categories in a forum…
