I was at The Parc ard 6+pm & noticed bay windows were creaking, perhaps due to expansions & contractions? anyone else noticed that?
Hi,
I have also noticed this problem for my bay windowds. I am planning to put this down in the defects list. I also noticed that bay windows facing direct sunlight (afternoon sun in my case) are having this problem Hopefully, it can be sorted out easily

So I'm not alone in this. I suppose this is normal then. not sure wat ways to rectify this though since is the physics of nature. happens to my current aircon too, sound comes after it has been switched off. |

The new forum welcomes anyone to join, there will be 'Public' and 'Residents' sections.
The 'Residents' section is still being setup at the moment, where there will be authentication required.
Cheers =) |

Err, so we continue with this forum in the meantime, or all migrate now?? Would the management office agree to disclose the list of owners, so u can invite them to the forum? Or if not invite them, at least help to identify the owners? Authentication will be very tough ;(
In sourcing for curtains, found Eric from Meridien's quote to be very competitive, but Darry from cozy 21 to be even better. Darry came to my unit, I did not even know him beforehand. He showed me invoices of curtains done by other units in the Parc. Has anyone engaged his help? Any feedback? |

Drawstring can be bought anywhere, just a durable string to pull the opennet cables to your TV point. Cat 6 cables can be bought from any IT shop. Be sure it is cat 6 which is 1gb speed and not cat5E which is only 100mb speed.
Hi whiteangel,
Did you use Cat 6 cables for openNet? I thought openNet is using Fibre Optic cables. Correct me if I am wrong.
There are 2 ways of installation. One is use a drawstring to 'pull' the fibre cables from db box to TV area. The other method is to keep the fibre optic point in db box and use cat 6 cables to originate from db box to any other areas in your house. Of cos cat 6 cables are limited by max of 1gb speed where fibre optic can go much higher speeds. For me, I chose cat 6 as I feel 1gb is enough and also I can pre-lay cat 6 rather than drawstring fibre later. Both options are possible :) Wow, whiteangel, u sound like a pro in this area!! Many thanks for the info. In the end, my contractor said he will settle it all for me (materials & labour) for $50-60.
hi, I need help. I do not know anything about this 'open net'. we are doing a whole feature wall. can I have your contractor number to 'settle' for me?
