Just been there last Sat. The buildings are up and I managed to go in for a quick glance. The 50m pool is damn narrow, if 5 ppl were to swim in it together, they might bang their heads against each others'. The entire development is too near the HDB blocks, not quite an exclusive private estate but looks more like super mass market. There are a few blocks facing the stadium that act like sonic boom barriers to the HDB blocks and other private developments behind. They have multi-story carparks instead of basement, so you can't have direct access to your lift lobby.

Well, at least to me this is how a super mass market development should look like. But... with over 700++ units cramp packed in this little plot of land, no doubt it's mass market.

yah, these my concerns too, seems the facilities would not be enough to cater a comfortable level for the residences & very worried abt parking space too doubt will be at least 1 lot per household.

abt those HDB blocks along the e'way, high chance they'll be relocated? but then, another high-rise pte development could be in place.

any news on the TOP?

Currrently I am staying in The Warren(CCK), total 669units there, I don't face any problem about too many peoples in the Gym or Swimming Pool, even on weekend, the pools are not crowded.

Top for The Parc around May to July this year.  The advantages of staying near HDB blocks are you don't have the problems in getting foods and necessities items.  2 popular food centre/market are nearby.

I observed that the information given below by pmet is Wrong.

Here is the correct info for The Parc I got from the developer's brochure and also the websites:

Tenure: Freehold

Site Area: 34,889.90 sqm/ 375,450.21 sqft
(- For comparison, this is about TRIPLE the land area size of say nearby The Vision@ West Coast which has about 300 units with Site Area: 129,168sqft )
The Parc sits on one of the rare few largest freehold sites in Singapore.

Type of Development: 7 blocks of 24-storey condominium
(- Most if not all the surroundings are only about 12 storey high,
beyond the few about <10 blocks of hdbs including a wet market scattered in the private estate,
there are mainly low rise landed houses and other condos infront and behind the parc condo,
affording good views all around)

Number of Units: 659 units, 688 car park lots
(- This is more than 1 car park per resident unit,
Car parks are mostly basement with direct lift access to units,
with guest car parks  being multi-story ones at the sizes for security)

There are a number of swimming pools,
The narrow one that pmet has observed is most likely the "Lazy River" and Toddler pools as captured in the picture by SHN.
The central pools are not shown on the above picture.
There is also a "Aqua-Gym" pool beside the central pools for the urbanites.
Other facilities include Indoor & outdoor Gyms, bbqs, function rooms, 2 tennis courts, 1 beach volley court, elderly fitness areas, tree house, skate park, flying fox adventure circuit for kids etc...

Cheers.

hermes76, TOP is estimated May-July 2010 by developer.

Greetings to all

I just sold off my centris unit and brought a unit here as well for 950psf.

My views are, this is the only freehold project that is so near to the MRT in the west region (next should be 100 Trees), hence with such advantage, I do not see why this project will not fly.

the advantage of having lotsa units in one development is that the maintenance fees are lower... good for owner-occupier but not much of diff for investors

mine is blk 7 mid floor.

I hope it will TOP soon, but looking at the work rate of their landscape, I believe it will take at least 3 more months to complete :-)

Hmm.. How best to manage a back-to-back sell one unit for cash to buy another?

Anyone has more pictures on how their landscaping is building up?  Thanks.

Visit the site again last week, did heard from one of the contractor supervisor that the first batch of keys will be round May and for Block 5. Shall we(owners of the Parc) make this thread ACTIVE as the one in Centris, sharing their opinion/views and also their renovation ideas here...

Thanks

I'll be on Blk 11, seems like Blk 1, 3, 5 & 7 are ready for TOP anytime. However, the surrounding & facilities seem far from ready. usual TOP will need everything to be ready or juz the units?

The rest of the blocks are mostly done as well, waiting for some touch up I believe.

Landscape may take another 2-3 months to finish, judging from what I had seen, still quite bare.

TOP criteria according to BCA
http://210.23.8.172/einfo/Uploads/Codes/RBCA00012.pdf

is that all landscape has to filled with earth, swimming pools filled with water, etc...
so looks like it going to take another 2-3 months.
Don't think can TOP for just blk 5 without the above landscape features all done.
