Let's me share how the SBF work for first come first serve.. When they are announce the SBF is too late...normally when you see they built the tent for SBF..pple are already knw the location will have SBF... They will ask the security guard when the SBF start to launch...some are queue for 5 days in advance...if the location is good...hahaha There are pple queue the last row nt get any flat and waste time for few days...

Traditional means like those done during EC. Dip a hand in and pick out the lucky number. Hmmm.. maybe can ask those interested in SBF to drop their number into a pot on a particular day and then draw the next day to see who is the lucky one. At least will be xin fu kou fu rather than leave it to some computer doing the job...

Yes. I aso agree that FCFS is not fair to most working ppl. So I personally prefer the current balloting system.

i guess there's no perfect system in this world as every system will have it's pros and cons.. but i'm not too inclined towards first-come-first-serve system as it creates unnecessary anxiety and panic amongst people due to 'kiasu' human nature.. though balloting is neither better off since many will attribute to the luck factor, but in comparison, the latter might still be a better system.

But what u said is true.. some projects should be first come first serve basis.. it shows the enthusiasm of the applicant.. from my understanding SBF comes after a few BTOs. Then there will be balance flats for sale.....last SBF was in Sept 2011.... Next one? My guess is June - July bah...depends on demand at last few BTOs...
