It shouldn't be too tough as Koreans are quite helpful though they don't really smile much and looked pretty serious.

However, most do not speak English. u may have a bit of problem communicating to them. I had some issues explaining to them that I want to transfer some pictures on my card to CD and asking if the menu item contains pork (cos everything was in Korean). Of course, u'll see familiar shops like Dunkin Donuts, Pepper Lunch etc in Seoul.

racheal: do share yours too. can see the difference

sunny: mine lasted ok. probably, it's a DSLR.

Belyl: u should go before Korean won or airport/fuel taxes increase again.

we were told that some hotels do not provide toothbrush and bath towels by default. This is in line with their efforts to protect their environment.

If you forget to bring, can buy them from nearby supermarket. Also, plastic bags are not free. u need to pay for it.

Also noted at the airport that their cleaners categorize the litter accordingly!

Their cleaners are better groomed than ours, aren't they?

I would hate to check into a hotel that does not provide towels. At least toothbrush I always bring.

they categorised for easy recycling... and you know what... think korea give their female citizen cosmetic allowance much like our GST rebate.. even the cleaners have make ups on.... not light one.. thick makeup ok!

and their people can be very rude... but think it's their culture... and they dun say excuse me... they will barge thru the crowd and knock into you.. if you fall.. that's too bad... even the lift.. standing in front of you when you want to get out, i've learn to say excuse in korean.. no use.. you just walk and push them aside.. they no complaints...
