I fell in love with it when I saw it in Bkk. So glad we found it. It will come with towel rail. It will hang on the wall above the rubbish chute. That's where the vanity will be next to the window in the original kitchen. Isn't it just drool worthy? And it's not that expensive! It's called Samir, in the Hotel Series by Noken. We will get a 43inch version with a generous surface for counter.

Very lovely sink indeed. Such gorgeous buys.

When is the expected completion date for this project?

Haha. I don't know completion. We need to indent some of these stuff as they are last minute decisions. That may take 2 or 3 months! But I guess time is not a factor. It's the aesthetics and getting what we really really want! We are not constraint by time. My friend has his family's place to stay at.

Typo error. The vanity is called Aamor from Noken from their Hotel series. I hv not seen a more stylo mylo vanity. Of course it is subjective. But I am loving the countour of the sink, the generous side counter and the simplicity of its design as a whole. The towel bar is a functional yet attractive feature.

The flat is a hive of activity. We hv decided on where all the lights would be placed and the contractors hv begin to wire the place up. This is crucial because you hv to know in advance where the light points are to create mood lighting! Never under estimate the importance of light planning. Many people tend to ignore this. We are not settling for the ubiquitous ceiling lamp normally seen in a hdb flat, thank you very much! The lighting scheme in this flat shd lend a very moody feel to this place. Oh, as you know we re having a reflective ceiling on one side of the living room and so the light points will hv to be drilled precisely on the steel sheets!

We just confirmed the order for the Autoban Suite Bed today! Got a very good price! It is after all the Great Singapore Sale! I love thside sign of ALL Autobahn furniture. It is usually quietly elegant in its simplicity. And is thoroughly hip. And definitely one of the most coveted designer products along with anything from Patricia Urquoia.

Another view. Sigh. Can't wait. It will take 2 to 3 months to arrive. My friend would hv to sleep on his wall bed in the meantime. Oh. I forgot to mention. He is doing a Tiong Bahru wall bed. For guests.

They hv been cemented on the wall under the back windows! The effect is nothing short of stunning!! I'm super pleased!! It gives a wonderful energy to the bathroom area. The red tiles contrasts beautifully with the cappuccino wall tiles on the left of the pic which is in the shower cubicle. Notice also the water cistern for the wall hung toilet has been put up see left of pic.

The grout between the mosaic will be an epoxy resin, not cement. That's because each mosaic is separated by a thin layer and cement won't hold fast.

The water clost for the wall hung toilet has now been walled up. The red tiles are also up on that side of the wall.

The 2 original toilets hv now been converted to make one spacious WC and separate shower. So you won't feel crammed using this bathroom. There will be a sliding glass door that will cover either the toilet or the shower. This is Tiong Bahru style. It's also the technique used by the Traders Hotel in KL.

View from bathroom into the living room. Now you can see this but not for long. We will re-erect the partition wall between the toilet and the bedroom and also place 2 sets of wardrobe in the space of the original kitchen. The wardrobes will be arranged galley style opposite one another parted by a 1m wide corridor. So in a way, it is like a walk in wardrobe.
The design of the wardrobe internally be quite nice. We will use the features I encountered in fancy hotels. The bar for hanging clothes will be lit using LED lights so that the clothes will be illuminated.

The shower head has arrived. Here it is fresh from the box. I like the fact that you hv a choice between a rain shower or a cascade like waterfall.

Hey Lieblingsg, can you share how much it costs to fabricate a wall bed? Or are you getting one from Clei? Went to Smootree and was/am a bit stunned by the prices. :P

Still love the Clei ones, but really really not affordable. :(
