Thought is is quite close to the main road and up a short slope only.
 
many HDB are like what the marketeer is pitching as ' on elevated ground ' .... ha ha

It is just a small slope, i think the slope on the old bidadari cemetary is higher, is more for marketing agenda for advertising that.

The use of "high ground" is just a matter of positioning lah, high ground compared to say looking down towards potong pasir mrt and aljunied side, honestly the damned thing is sitting at the top of a slight rise, it's all a matter of perspective cos when you're cycling up the slope it feels awfully like you're climbing mt everest about halfway up....pant pant pant /die

1.       Ah so!...so the high grd thing is just a cheap trick to get people's attention. Dishonest marketing i would say.
2.      earlier post mentions it will have 5 towers of 15 stroreys. Isn't it quite low ( 15 storeys ). Why not 4 towers of X storeys to free up space for condo amentiies to be more spacious. Gee, i think i would prefer more spacious grounds.

1. I beg to differ, I wouldn't say it's dishonest marketing, more like blowing a positive out of proportion? The area around Avon Park/8@Woodleigh really is slightly elevated compared to all points of the compass when you stand on the site, Aljunied Rd slops slightly downwards, you go down a slope as you drive down towards CTE and you go down a slope towards Potong Pasir. The effect may not be noticeable at ground level but should be more pronounced the higher you go.
 
2. I can't be sure but this probably has something to do with plot ratio and more importantly any height restrictions placed on that plot of land. It's not inconceivable that due to the slight rise in the lay of the land that height restrictions are in force due to the proximity of Paya Lebar Airbase and it's associated flight paths, supposition on my part really but a good gauge would be to take the cue at the surrounding developments.
