true. The best is to get units facing the greenery away from the TPY Hub and city. wonder if the bids would be as high as the DBSS site at Bishan? |

I doubt so cos market sentiments are not as optimistic as before. See the quoted amount for Bishan DBSS. It's quite hard to match for this TPY DBSS.

A third China-based company has ventured into
Singapore's property sector by placing the highest bid of $135.9
million (or $237 psf ppr) for the Bishan DBSS tender that closed
yesterday.
Qingdao's plan is to build a 400-unit development
and will release the launch prices and date later. PropNex CEO Mohamed
Ismail said that if Qingdao Construction was awarded the project, the
sale price would probably be above $600 psf, which is more than $600,000 for a four-room flat. He opined that this price is reasonable for a flat in Bishan.
Qingdao Construction Group has been in Singapore for
the last nine years and has entered the property market to capitalize
on the demand for premier HDB flats. Qingdao's business activities are
financially backed by the China Development Bank and the Export-Import
Bank of China. A Savills analyst noted that the Chinese Govt is seen
seeking more overseas investments and this may in turn see more Chinese
developers and construction firms seeking investments in Singapore.

Personally, i feel that the dbss @ bishan is quite a bit of walking from the mrt station. If you intend to get a car / have a car already, then its a different story...

u r right. TPY DBSS is definitely much nearer to the interchange than Bishan DBSS. If you intend to send your kids to Catholic High School, Bishan DBSS is so much nearer =) |

Not as much but it won't be too far behind, don't get your hopes up, the indicative price for the Bishan DBSS and what the units at AMK DBSS are going for now would probably serve as a good indicator. |

Yes dun pin your hope too high, just look at Pinnacle at Duxton or the kallang flats, not cheap. |

This site has its views almost blocked by surrounding buildings. the only hope is probably to buy facing Philips... which is the Macritchie reservoir greenery view.

Bid for this DBSS is lower at S$160 psf ppr.... compare to S$237 psf ppr for Bishan DBSS. |
