final look and feel resembles that of forfar heights or the 40-storey Queenstown HDB flats.

I used to stay @ Geylang Bahru. River Vista iooks really nice though I'm not too sure if they have cleaned up the river a bit.

The last time I went, it was clean. Not sure about now.

It's part of PUB's ABC Programme to clean and revitalise the waterways in Singapore.

the construction has reached 15th to 16th flr.... will take sum pics over the weekends...

as for the river..der r cleaners driving a small boat to clean it everyday...it's still nt clear waters...but the plants at newly upgraded river bank were nt properly maintained..many died

I beg to differ. I think the design is generic, crowded and concrete. There is no redeeming appeal in its architecture. It looks very HDB.

I feel that the location is not that convenient as there aren't any closeby mrts ard. Even the bus-stops are a walk away and only a one way road.

However, if u drive, then not a problem

yes I realise that for area around the mature estates, design for it looks very crowded and vey HDB design. Maybe because of the high land price, they need to cram as many units as they can over the land. I feel that a person living in such a place will feel pressure. When you work for the whole day with pressure, naturally when you return home you would want a relax environment. With so many pple living in a blk, there could be many noises created. Especially these blks are built for SERS.

Cannot walk around naked in yr flat lah. Can get arrested. In Hong Kong, flats are also so close to one another. The difference between Hong Kong and Singapore is that the people dont mind being watched. My friend can see couples making love in full view of other residents. Its a free show what and it is so natural. No need to involve the police.

U r wrong. the boon keng mrt stn is within 10mins walk. Direct bus to bugis n suntec, ard 15mins durin non peak hrs. U can also walk ard 10mins to take bus to Kallang and Lavendar MRT stns. The location is quite strategic as it lies bet 2 markets

Yep. i tink the tallest blk will be the 1 furthest in... Wat u see is only half of each block. Construction progress for the other half is slower

35 applications for every available unit in Kallang four-room flat – Wanbao (9 Oct 2008), p7
Wanbao noted that the 39 four-room flats in Kallang offered under the same exercise had attracted 1,384 applications,
which meant that there were 35 applications for every available unit.
 
Property agents were surprised by the high subscription rate but commented that it could be due to its proximity to the city
centre, few number of new flats and the high prices of resale flats in the area.
