Fusionpolis

Amid strong international competition, Arup was chosen to provide specialist lighting, acoustics, MEP and fire engineering design services to the spectacular twin towers of the Fusionpolis development.

Housing 120 000m² of state of the art commercial, office and residential accommodation, Fusionpolis will house researchers, content creators and financiers in the information, communications, media and education sectors.

The development’s open layout will facilitate the fusion of ideas between these different sectors. Shared facilities such as production and audio studios, rendering farms and satellite teleports will encourage experimentation with media and technology.

Arup’s lighting designers were commissioned to create a striking appearance

Arup’s fire engineers allowed the development’s striking and open architecture to become a reality whilst providing the building with comprehensive protection systems. This was achieved by using performance-based fire engineering.

Designed by internationally renowned Japanese architect, Dr Kisho Kurokawa, the building will feature a number of unique public areas. These include sky gardens, an egg-shaped theatre that is suspended between the towers and a helipad. Arup’s lighting designers were commissioned to create a striking design for these areas and for the building’s facade.

At $6-$9 psf rental is a nice place to go to work to.  But renovation costs built in, about 100K, everything goes to the realestate owner before the entrpreneur has a taste of the party he/she throws each month.

Wonder if we can get a few budding entrpreneurs to share an office and split the cost by 5. That would seem more viable and also form a foundation for alliances and crosselling with participants.  Maybe fusionpolis can look at such a packaged rental scheme

Basic electronic infra apart, all else is not included.  Yes it is now ready and lotsa renovation have been  happening.  My cousin just got her clinic up but now the task of telling others where it is.  Confusion occurs as they think its Biopolis.

anyone took picture of the building with those neon lights on at night? looks oustanding among the buidlings nearby..

from the mrt station the view of Fusionpolis is not that great.. as it is blocked off by MOE etc..

but if you were to be looking from the NUH direction, it is really striking..
