not sure what they are doing now. There are other sites besides this one... like the SERS sites at Tiong Bahru have not risen above ground too.

yea i like that area coz my parents stay around there too! =D been living around the tiong bahru, bukit merah since young heheheee. chances will come belyl!!

When i was there, i had some problems with family nuclers.. and so when we requested to withdraw it.. the que became 2k+... but thank God my parents stay near by. I could change the family nuclers.

I dont think can walk lah from st james (altho i havent try). maybe by bus.. its abt 5 bus stops. By the time its ready. The train oso will be ready.

Used to urge one of my close malay colleague to apply but he cited that $300k++ for a 4 rm was too expensive but now i think he realised he missed out an gd investment opportunity. doubt there is much left overs. yeah, almost zero new hdb ard Telok Blangah liao. but with only 3 blocks, shouldnt it be completed quite fast?

actually i am waiting for the upcoming half-yearly sale of 4room or 5 rooms hdb. personally i like the queenstown/bk merah area, my bf & i both work ard this area too. i am really really keeping my fingers crossed to see some units from TBT & other building in progress projects like Ghim Moh Valley, Holland Vista & Strathmore Ave up for sale!

but of course i'm sure there is going to be high competition from others also monitoring. and i am a bit worried prices will escalate like Duxton case where the Sep08 ballot cost twice the initial BTO launch price!

yes fernzy, i m currently co-owning a 4 rm flat with my parent but intend to upgrade to a 5 rm in near future. So m more reg reading up in TPY DBSS The Peak but the project may seem too small yet too expensive for me. Thats why i've been keeping track of the resale market rite now and maybe i will be one of ur "competitor" in any future half-yearly sale. Let's keep it friendly ;)

but yes i agree the DBSS units are generally too small yet too ex! just now u mentioned 300k for 4room at TBT? that's a good deal. i think the relatively new blocks (Blk 89, 90) at Commonwealth mrt, 4 room was also priced around 300k. although the real great steal are those redhill close flats, i think it sold abt 300k for a 5 room, during that lull period a few years ago.

My parents are gonna be with me where ever i go. New flat prices did shows a big jumo comparing to 4 years back so hopefully the bearish market can retune it back to its more normal states. Be hopeful and buy within the limits. I jus fell at ease with the area when i go for my sunday traits walk with my gf... greenery best~!
