I can see that you have done all you can.

Your neighbours seem to be insane like the infamous neighbours in the East.

I suggest you approach them and give them a final verbal warning, reiterating that life would be Living Hell if they do not stop what they are doing.

Obviously, your neighhbour needs to be taught a lesson if the above final method fails.

1) Embarass or harass their kids in school. Tell the teachers about the kids' parents
2) Put all their slippers in a trash bag an dthrow them away
3) Approach them at their workplace & highlight this to their bosses
4) Check out which temple they go to, and highlight thi smaytter to the temple head

i'm not well versed in law and i also won't go and sabo them. i only know when police come, they know about the spit. no action taken. the son mum also cliam her son is 17 and when he smokes outside, also no action taken.

Green, if everything else failed, I guess you should try henny's  method . Maybe this bunch of idiots next door ought to be taught a lesson.

I thought spitting is an offence in public area.... out the house consider public right?
Should video them out doing all this inconsiderate behaviour/offense and sue them?

I am surprised that the Police and Town Council are unable to resolve such a straight forward case.

IN this case, you may have to confront the neighbour directly and tell him firmly that this is your final warning for him.

If he continues with this, you will create living hell for him.

from what i reckon, with such strong evidence to me, i should have resolved this long ago as i have proof sufficiently their harassment on me and my family.

sadly that is not the case. if u encountered something like in my case, u will feel as helpless as me. cos all avenue such as town council, police, mp etc don't work.....yes, it surprises me too that point of middle finger and spitting on us is NOT an offense. we can only suffer in silence........

henry, i just glad if they can stop creating living hell on us.......i never thought of doing the same to them, waste of energy....furthermore my parents are above 60 and weak, so we will be at a disadvantage cos u never know what this crazy people can do...like pushing one down the stairs etc....

Help!..Anyone have any ideas? I'm going crazy. The police came 3 times today and my evening is wasted. When my mum told the police the guy hide in a corner and try scare my dad, my heart broke. For no reason, he shouted vulgarites at my Dad. Caught him spitting again, and putting a mattress outside which we have a CMC agreement not to.............feel so miserable. This had happened to me and 2 of my siblings - we stayed in different HDB flats and ganna unreasonable and IMH-type neighbours. It's more common than u think. In these cases, all of us moved. Why? simple - u can't argue/fight with unreasonable people and crazy people - they live in their own world and once they fixate on bullying you and your family, they will continue to do so. Also went thru the police, mp, hdb, cmc route and nothing happens... why again, becos these bullies know that the law can't do anything to them. Think Everitt road and u know what i mean.

These pple are super anti-social and your misery is their joy. There is only 1 most logical recourse, which is to just move away. I know u think it is unfair, but if u persist, this constant irritation and problem will never go away until one of u move ... u think they will? Just bite the bullet and move lah. I'm so much happier now ... my new flat so much nicer and worth much more than the old flat with the horrible neighbour from hell and it turn out to be a blessing in disguise :)

so Green, whats the advise from the police? Have you seen the MP on this?

Yes, I have seen the MP twice. Waited like more than 2-3 hours just to see him for 10 mins. He helps us wrote a letter to HDB on renting a unit for HDB but it got rejected. As for the police, not much power they have accept to mediate.

What I can't comprehend with such videos I have,why no actions have been taken against them for so long and we still have to consider to bear with the situation. Is this Singapore?

I saw alot of letter appearing in the ST forums including neighbours disputes, loan sharks activities etc. It got write and publish but I don't think much help in the situation. Currently, I don't consider mine as neighbours disputes cos we have no issues with them. My whole family also don't bother with them etc. Our area got households including them cos 1 has move out. The rest 4 households also have disputes with them and we even petition to the MP etc..but guess not much effect. Anyway the problem is simply them. I don't think their mind is sound. I was even told the same thing by the policeman =(

Beside us enduring, what else can stop them from doing such things on us such as spitting, slamming doors, scaring & threatening my family members, use of vulagarities at us etc? I'm really tired....I only slept 2 hours this morning and I have to be at work now =(

green, u have been lots of stress i suppose... let me summarize for you, yr neighbour is giving you much of a prb due to unknow reason and causing daily nuisance to yr family, yr family have to bare with their inconsiderate act which result to mental stress to yr whole family... you have sound out to yr parent but they refuse to move as they are already very used to the amenities ard the neighbourhood.. so basically you are stuck in between, when yr neighbour doesn't seems to stop their nonsensical act even police and MP involves and yr parent is not going to give in and move away from that apartment..... hum... tough.....

If is such, i oni can say is to have this issue brought to court.... have u consult and lawyer abt this issue? See if u can pin that guy with the video or watever proof you have? How can he be charge and wat further act can protect your if he repeats the same thing again... and will be best if you have medical report on you are under stress due to the cause... this will help in court.

I noe you're worry tat they may do harm to yr old folks but if you let them carry on with those stupid act and no action taken.. in mind their sure think that "they cant do anything to us de la... no nid scare them".... if can send yr parent to yr relative's house to stay... send them a lawyer letter... charge them to court and let them noe.. u mean business here... if they fail to appear in court.. mean they have lose the trail, can get court to issue summon or court order to warn them is any of this foolish act happens again... be ready to go behind bar.....

Green, maybe your Sikh neighbours have their problems and venting out on your family.

Why not contact Central Sikh Gurdwara Board, explain your situation and get an officer/elder to go with/or without you to
their apartment and talk to them.
The board has counselling service, and maybe your neighbours need their help.
