Decided to bring my colleague to this Japanese Restaurant (at Far East Square) which Audrey and I usually go to for lunch. I love their bento sets as the the variety of appetitisers are pretty varied. This place was recommended to me by Audrey and I fell in love with their food immediately

Both of us ordered the grilled fish with steamed egg bento set. Each set comes with rice, appetisiers, side dish, raw fish, soup, steamed egg and fruits.
I replaced my raw fish with agedashi tofu cos I do not take raw stuff. My colleague commented that the raw fish were pretty good.

My colleague and I loved this side dish. It's smashed tofu mixed with chopped black fungus and carrots bits and then deep fried to golden brown. And you eat this with some sauce that comes with it. Nice.

Loved the Chawanmushi too. The steamed egg is so smooth it basically glided down my throat. Yummy

actually just 2 items are fried (agedashi tofu and the smashed tofu with black fungus carrot bits). The rest are either braised or boiled or grilled. And surprisely it's not greasy at all. That's what I love their food for. I had been to the restaurant a couple of times. I felt the food is nicer than the one at IP though my colleagues felt the sashimi at tat IP's jap restaurant is slightly better. But she agreed that the food here is great. She's now thinking of bringing her dept colleagues there already

Their lunch sets are very affordable. Botan is very near to my office. The Italian restaurant that is on the same side as Botan is also very good. |

Ya their set lunches are pretty affordable and nice too. I will try out the italian restaurant the next time cos I would always meet my ger pal there for lunch as she works at Raffles Place. She was the one that recommended me Botan after we had lunches at Sushi Tei and Kyo Nichi for the past few times. Great now I have another place to lunch

When my colleague and I walked down that stretch of cafes and restaurants, we realised that Shin Kushiya is also located there. Have you tried the food there?
