I dont think Belyl will. Hotel prices are shooting up to unreasonably high prices just because they have view of the NDP. I would rather go to Benjamin Sheares bridge where it is reasonably close enough to all the hype and action.
Last year, I remembered that people were not allowed on Sheares Bridge because it was unsafe and too close to fireworks. Not sure about this year.

I re read the package again.. ya it's only for the rehearsals.... so the actual day room rates are realy $1000 (as reported in the papers)
think I will let my friend know also. she was asking me which hotel provides the best view for NDP and I told her Ritz.. but when I told her the price she nearly fainted... haha

This is last year's performance and fireworks at Sheares Bridge. See... no photographers on the bridge.

ya some people managed to get up benjamin sheares bridge to watch, while others were told to evacuate from there.. double standard.. it was mentioned in the news for this incident...

at least it wasn't a sunny day. I remembered it rained till 2 plus that day and I was still thinking if I should go. Was there at 3pm. Early right??

haha ya... i went there very late.. got those front row seats.. hehe...
by the way i heard that the authorities actually scatter some chemical in the sky area above the perfoming venue, in order to make sure that it doesn't rain during NDP.. wonder if it is true..

hmm i've nvr balloted for the tix.. anyone tried balloting and got them b4? i heard you can ebay the actual day and rehearsals for different prices.. and quite anumber of peopl are actually balloting just to sell.. though illegal it may be, but nvr heard of anyone getting caught lol |
