Did not know what birthday present to give to my 2 dear friends whose birthdays are in May. I thought treating them to a ride in the Singapore Flyer would be a really nice gift. So I booked the tickets online in Jan 08 and received them in my mailbox yesterday

I called Singapore Flyer's office to check if I could bring a cake into the capsule to celebrate their birthday but the customer service officer replied that they do not allow any food or drinks on board. Anyway my friends are happy that they can board the flyer to view sunset. And we could still have the cake later after the ride

Can't wait for May 08 to come

Affter all the fuss is over, will the Singapore FLyer be a white elephant? Like who does reverse bungee jumping these days? I dont see long queue. As for the Sg Flyer, after all is said and done, it is just a big ferris wheel. The westerners have this thing for ferris wheel. It evokes a carnival atmosphere. I dont know if we asians share the same fetish.

actually for 37 mins at a price of approx $30.. I might go on the Flyer once.. and maybe twice.... unless the experience is really beautiful and nice and I dun mind forking out another $30 again... but then the scenery dun really change much ... so maybe just once of twice is enough I guess.... felt that it's more worth than the DHL hotair balloon ... tat cost $23.50 for a 10 min ride... subject to wind and weather conditions..... but this hot air balloon is nothing compared to the ones I rode in Aust.....

I also took a ride on a hot air balloon in Goldcoast early in the morning to catch sunrise! Very nice and definitely not cheap.

It was a fantastic experience... I get to see the view from the sky down onto earth... get to see meandering rivers... mountain dunes.... it's like everything I read from geography textbooks came alive in front of me.... then across the horizon where the sun is rising, it colored the skies purple, then pink then crimson orange...... the clouds looks like waves and the mountain tops looks like little island in the sea of clouds.... lovely sight.... i caught it when I was in Cairns

Why spend that money? It is crazy! Have a simple beach solemnisation. It is 100x more memorable.

beach solemnisation can add up to a huge amt too if u r considering to put up nice tentage in case it rains...

but it's a nice idea too..maybe solemnisation and wedding dinner on the same day to make ur $$ worth...
