Today is 30 Jan 2010. It is two months since the ceiling leak is reported but till now the ceiling leak has not been resolved by HDB. I wonder what is happening. Why didn't HDB take enforcement action to resolve the matter? Why is there still no reply from HDB after report done in MP meet the people session on 25/1/10?

Today my contractor work till 7.30pm. Finishing drilling of the curtain pole installation. And interestingly, the son of my upstairs neighbour came into my house, look into my masterbedroom, beckon to me to speak with him at my living room asking for the drilling to stop. Well, I immediately asked my contractor to stop work and continue on Monday. I am not happy that the son of my upstairs neighbour barge into my house without asking my permission to enter my territory. He could just ask press the doorbell or ask one of my contractor to call me to the door. What gives him the right to enter my house? I'm moving in to block 354 soon.

For yr leaking issue, I think you have to be persistent on them. Get them to give you a fix date rather then just let them tell you "we have arrange it for you this week". Make sure they give you a confirm date and contacts for that person coming to rectified yr house.

As for tat neighbour, I must say, u'll have to handle this issue carefully. Cos 1 wrong step you take will let you end up with miserable stay in future. So just "open 1 eye close 1 eye" la... just tell yrself "see see only mah.. he cant take anything from me anyway" :D

So congrats for yr new home too, just in time for CNY. ^^

Prior to joining meet the MP session and writing here, I had already asked for the fixed date from HDB technical officer handling this case. As no reply was received, I had to do the above actions. Now my plan for housewarming is delayed. Will do several further actions if the leak is not rectified when I moved in.

Regarding the neighbour upstairs I had already approached and talked to him prior to all these events. I don't see further problem with my neighbour as I believe he is a reasonable man. As long as we knows our boundary, I don't think we have any problems in future.

That brings another question, how do we determine the corridor area that belongs to us? Wouldn't want to have any fire hazards items in the doorway that can cause fire. After all the money spent on renovation, the last thing I want is all money going down the drain because of fire not of my own doing.

Its great to be moving here soon. Yeah, CNY coming soon, Happy Chinese New Year to all, lest i forget.

Toilet ceiling still leaking. Worst part while bathing water leaks onto shower head..HDB did not rectify leak.No fixed date given to resolve the matter. I wonder about HDB public service 21 commitment.

I'm very angry with HDB now. The rectification is now deferred to after Chinese New Year! I went to MP meet the people session again yesterday. The matter was reported on 30th Nov 09, for God's safe! Is HDB getting complacent or understaffed or whatever....
