There is another 'MRT fight' going viral about an 'Ah Lian' and auntie quarreling in mrt? After the Alex incident, now another incident. No seat then stand, I don`t think it is that difficult. When will this stop? What do you think about it?

I wasn't aware of what exactly triggered the outrage cries from the auntie. From what I see from the video, the girl had clearly given up her seat to the auntie. It's quite absurd to find yourself being shouted at after you give up your seat. |

I think that woman is damn unreasonable. The young lady already given up the seat to her then why is she still shouting and scolding girl? Honestly, it's only polite that we should give up the seat... And doesn't mean if people never give up the seat is a crime or against the law. So??? If someone did not give up the seat... Probably is that person might be early stage pregnancy which the tummy still not showing... So, it's not wrong also! That auntie really siao lah! |

ya la. I might not know the whole situation but from my point of view, i seriously think the young lady did the right thing. Everyone has the rights to decide whether to give up seats or not, people give up seat, is nice of them. There is not a need to treat it for granted. Ya. Then some people you don`t even know if they are consider old or not haha scare give up seat get scolded by them haha! Since the girl already give up seat, the auntie really should not take it for granted! |

Hmmm... I saw the report on Yahoo but missed the video clip. Didn't know what was the exact situation. From the report, it seems to me the young lady did the right thing by 'alighting' - probably not her stop yet to avoid the embarrassment. Agreed totally that everyone has the right to or not to give up their seat. Its not a must but a nice thing to do when you see someone needs it more than you. If you really needs it so badly - maybe you are not feeling well etc, ask in a polite way and I am sure ppl will not mind giving up their seats for you. In life, nothing should be taken for granted :) |

I think you can view it in Youtube. I watch the clip in youtube as well. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3cZ3WoQe3nI The auntie whom the ah lian gave up the seat was like not even an elderly or pregnant woman. Funny thing is these kind of aunties can queue up very long, stand very long for free gifts. Now they cannot stand in the MRT. I agree with Oceangrace that asking politely is a must. I doubt the auntie even make the effort to ask politely. The auntie is not even an elderly... |

Exactly... I can't agree more with you. These aunties/uncles take this for granted... I came across one uncle on the bus also behaved in the same manner... After I gave up the seat to him, he still grumbled. Saying that signs were everywhere, why we all like BLIND !!! I was bending down looking at my mobile and I juz reacted a little slower I guess... Hahaha. Anyway its okie..... I always believe we all get old one day. We dun wana to be such a grumpy old lady/man ;) |

yeahs! Exactly! In buses, they treat like they own the bus because they are elderly. I also reaction very slow haha But I think it is good cause we tend to get angry after it is over haha! Then won`t stir up any trouble hehe yup. I hope can be a good old auntie when I get old. On the other hand, it really breaks my heart when I see elderly in the MRT (Those really old ones), and no one give up their seats. They look very feeble and still no one gives up their seats. |

After the MRT incident about the 'ahlian', another bus incident surfaced.
It was caught on camera during the whole process and it was said that the 2 woman were arguing over prority seating. If I am not wrong, it was a quarrel between a young lady and an elderly.
The two women were filmed arguing loudly on SBS bus service 235 on July 14. The video, uploaded onto YouTube eighth days later, shows an elderly woman and a younger one (believed to be a China woman) gesturing and yelling in Mandarin.
According to witness acounts, the quarrel broke out when the younger lady, who was dressed in a white dress, sat in a priority seat. This upsets the elderly woman who was standing, despite the bus having vacant seats available.
The elderly woman probably told off the younger one for sitting on the priority seat closest to the door and the younger one retorted back angrily and an argument begun. It lasted for 10min.
You can watch the video here.
You can read the full article here from Asiaone.
Honestly, in this incident, I think both has their own faults. I mean it is not like the bus was packed. Why is it always an elderly has to start scolding people? But that doesn't mean the young lady has the rights to flare up. From the video, the elderly was truely quite feeble. The young lady should not scold the elderly.
I wonder when will this kind of quarrels come to a stop... |

they should change the label from "priority" to "reserved". priority is subjective. reserved is clear. anyone does not look like the picture depicted and sit will deserve a good scolding |

Haha yeah but I think more people will complain. Some more some people are illiterate. Don't understand this and that and some are just born selfish. Seriously this is like never ending. |
