There are noobs everywhere lah please.... Even if you had bought a genuine Gucci bag, some idiot will still come by and ask you where you buy your grade A bag.
 
Anyway since when can a HDB be compared with a private condo? Outlook and name wise it can be designed to look and sound like a condo but a HDB, at least till this point, does not provide you with facilities, security guards, clubhouse, freehold lease, freedom to buy and sell without any time restriction, etc.
 
Imagine you staying in a beautifully named and designed HDB yet at your void deck, you have dozens of strangers polluting your environment. Any uncle and auntie can sit at your void deck and talk, drink kopi and smoke for the whole day. Typical HDB isn't it.
 
No... i dun stay in a condo yet although i would love to...

the difference is the 'feel'. its like why somebody would buy BM 3 series but the cost can buy him/her a larger car like nissan teana etc.

one thing for sure, the water @ the waterfront will not be clear.

Punggol is a their attempt to re-brand the place. Next would be the dirty water near lakeside. Afterall as long as it moves property prices up, Singaporeans will like it.

Sounds good but that area is quite close to town already right? Is it going to be a DBSS project then?

My source told me that it is likely a BTO project.

There is an existing uncompleted DBSS project, named City View within a stone's throw.

wah within stone throw meaning ppl will sure compare pricing, and somehow or other, create a lot of displeasure.

If BTO same or higher than DBSS (which was priced based on market 2years ago), complains!

If BTO only marginally lower than DBSS, people will also complain may as well get DBSS which looks better and done by condo developers.



Maybe they will come up with fanciful plans again, e.g. loft, to avoid this trap. LOL

Aiya end of the day, cannot please everyone... 

Build normal flats = Expensive, small and normal looking

Build unique style flats = Very expensive, small and not worth it

Build unique, big rooms, cheap, near town = Got such free lunch a not???

A lot of "@" examples, which seems to be the recent trend in naming HDB flats to sound like District 9 & 10 condominiums.

1) Megapolis
2) One @ Bendemeer
3) 8 @ Bendemeer

7) Residences @ Bendemeer

Erm...duno if im in a correct place...

i have acutally apply for BTO @ bukit panjang..but heard that there will be BTO @ CCK...

i was wondering if i can apply for cck next as a back up if i get a lousy queue for bukit panjang?

Can !
You can apply as many as possible. But once u selected a unit other bto que will be void.
and also do take note of the # of chances for first timer.
once u give up in any BTO when u are still able to select a unit, hdb will take away 1 chance.
