Just a side track. I watched the last episode of the "Reunion Dinner" over Ch8 yesterday.
The scene whereby Sergeant Leong toasted to Ah Ping over dinner and she went to the kitchen to cry is so touching...

Hya and Lollie, yes the old lor-mee stall selling at China Street. The old couple was then in mid 50s and having a daughter now operating at Blk 86 Zion Road coffee shop. The Foochow fishballs is popular but seems to me business taken a plunge.
Hya, you once lived at Amoy Street, you should know that stall very well. Those were the days  |

Dear Lollie,
I Last visited that stall about few months back, the young daughter has married and now the couple making a living by selling lor-mee. the young daughter also about 50 plus now, still remember me. It lost the original taste in the 70s while the stall was run by her father, but the fishmeat balls still as good as before.
