Just to update more on the Singapore Garden Festival.

They were showing how to "wrap" your plant. I forgot the name :x It was presented by students! They were so clever while presenting.

Can you believe these roses were made from pandan leaves? This D.I.Y was really interesting and I personally went to try and it was difficult. haha But the process of folding was really fun haha

What is walk & shop....got shopping hehe
Hi busygirl! hehe they call it walk & shop cause the walk ends at VivoCity. hehe Basically, the walk starts from Telok Blangah Hill Park and ends at VivoCity which is Singapore`s largest retail and lifestyle destination mall! haha The benefits of this walk is the scenic harbour view from Mount Faber Park (one of the oldest park in Singapore) and the panoramic viewpoints of Singapore city along the ridges. I think more people interested in the Bukit Brown Night Walk. Ask my friends and all are interested to join the night walk!

I went to check out Garden By The Bay on the weekends. Checked out the 2 conservatories which are the Flower Dome & Cloud Forest. Gosh It was amazing! I went for the Garden Cruiser as well. It is highly recommended for first timers. The garden is big! But I know more about the garden rightaway after the Garden Cruiser. Benefit a lot from it :) The last ride is 2pm. So be there early if you want to have a ride :) Flower Dome & Cloud Forest is really fabulous. Camera MUST bring along if you are visiting. haha Took some photos. Shall post it here. People! Share your experience at Garden By The Bay!

See how beautiful it is!! haha Was greeted upon entering Cloud Forest. Was lovely and cooling!

I love the flowers there! Scent of flowers are so fragrant! Not forgetting the flowerbed!

Now is your turn to upload your photos haha

Singapore Food Festival draws record numbers

SINGAPORE - Some 516,000 Singaporeans and tourists turned up at the Singapore Food Festival (SFF) to show their support for the country's annual food event.

Held from July 13-22, SFF is into its 19th run this year.

50 food stalls from participating hawkers, cafes, restaurants to hotels showcased local fare based on 2012's theme: Seafood Tales of Temasek.

This year's numbers surpassed the 2011 figure of 450,000 and met 2012's target, organisers Singapore Food & Beverage Alliance and SPOC Solutions said in a press release.

The organisers believe that convenience of the new location at the Marina Bay Waterfront Promenade was a contributing factor for this year's large crowds.

Also attributing their succcess to the "sound strategy" of having different culinary themes each year, Director of SPOC Solutions & SFBA,  Mr Luke Lee, said: "Our food village is developing into an annual food mecca which saw many repeat customers."

The concept of having affordable dishes under one roof also proved to be profitable as many vendors reporting an average of 30 per cent increase in sales over the 10-day period.

According to the organisers, seafood restaurant “2nd Kitchen”, which was one of the participating food stalls, sold more than 12 giant groupers and 612kg of shellfish at the event.

Next year's festival will have a new culinary theme which will be announced at a later date.

Saw this on asiaone. Think kids will love to try this out: Tourists and shoppers at Vivocity will be able to take scenic tours around the mall on a 19th-century locomotive train service which will begin on 27th July 2012.

This is not exactly an event but I think it is pretty cool and interesting to try this out! More for kids though. Am sure kids will love this :)

- This Mini Express will take passengers on a round-trip around Promenade.
- Four-wagon battery-operated train can take up to 24 children per ride and has the look and feel of an olden-day railway train.
- It has a smoke machine that generates non-toxic glycol-smoke based to recreate locomotive experience, complete with a built-in sound system that plays the sound of bells and whistling of the train. How cute is it!
- $6 per ride and children below 90cm in height must be accompanied by an adult (No additional charge for the accompanying adult)
- Tickets can be purchased at starting point located at The Promenade (near SingKids #01-171-174)

I think this is so cute! Kids would love it for sure hehe
