Decided to open a new topic this morning after feeling pissed at those drivers on the road.  Again, they don't signal when changing lanes.  This is common and I will tell myself to stay cool and be prepared to see such acts again but this morning, I forgot to remind myself of this so as to stay cool.  :-(

Anyway, I would classified 3 types of drivers:
1. Lopped-sided driver - such drivers usually drive with the car either too close to the left or to the right.  This creates a problem esp for bikers where they have to avoid them as they need to pass through between 2 lanes.
2. Fingerless driver - such drivers don't signal at all.  Some said that they wanted to prolong the battery life.  For me, I will always signal even for the pedestrian to tell them where I'm heading.

I am not saying I am the best driver but I don't see anything bad to make life better for everyone.

What's your view?

For me... I think the most annoying thing is drivers that don't stay in their lane.

Understand how you feel, need more of this experience before you get use to this feeling. Many years back, at Paterson road, a taxi just stopped to a flagger suddenly, the lady driver stopped behind without signal and I was the unlucky one that couldn't stop in time. In the end i got to pay because "i'm the one behind last" . Nowadays I see taxi drivers, I switch to defensive driving :)

Another type that makes me become an 'angry bird' are those who during peak hours drive on the 1st lane leaving one huge 500m 1km gap in between other cars, travelling at 70-80.....gosh, these people don't understand what is filter and keep to the 2nd lane. Worse is that I always observe the PIE/ CTE near kallang, cars and especially vans drove slowly causing jams because of the merge.....don't know what the traffic 'department' doing all these years......no redirection, no traffic police, no plans indicating improvement.....life is good after the election....waiting for the next election to be kicked out like MBTan. I think the respective "heads" should drive themselves during these hours to understand our plight. Here they want more babies but everytime jam one hour on the road x 200 000, Singapore will have 200 000 man/ hrs less to rest and make babies.....continue to import foriegners, you need them, bravo Singapore!!

I don't know where this move comes from but apparently, if the car behind you thinks you're driving too slow, the driver will keep moving left and right to signal you. I hate that!

Front one think he's right, back driver also think he's correct, I think the traffic department should come out with some "considerate" programs

You will encounter bad drivers all over the world though, it's not limited to Singapore :D But sometimes you do get the feeling that certain places are worse than others. I don't signal myself sometimes though :P But only when there is _no one_ around me, in busy traffic I would always signal.

Ya i experience this too! They dont signal when they are changing lanes. Even though im a female, but i feel that females' driving sucks big time! It's very obvious to see if it is a female driving or a male. A female will always take some time hesistating if they should change lanes or not... whereas, men are faster in their decisions.

WOndering at expressway, the sign 90km/hr is a must or that's the limit for lane 1? what if a driver travel at 70-80km/hr at the first lane, is it ok or not?

I thik for expressway, certain vehicles can't go 90km/h wor.
Example : Van and other industrial commercial vehicles. As these vehicles have a speed limit of 60km/h... so we can't expect them to go fast.

I observed that slow traffic starts when going up slope on expressways....many drivers somehow don't understand gravity ...they need to depress the accelerator to maintain current speed when going upslope....

bad drivers normally appear either early in the morning when they rush for work or late at night when they rush home and super late night when there is minimum cars on the road.

Most importantly, drive carefully and watch out for ferrari.

i think its annoying if the drivers did the following:
1) moving close to the side of the lane and sometimes cross your line while nego a curve
2) moving at 70km at lane 1 (most outer lane) where the car at lane 2 is like just 5km slower than him
3) unable to appreciate when to stop, always have the need to do a jam-break

lastly, the worst of all kinds, a driver that do point 1, 2, 3 LOL!
