hey siron, out of curiousity, wht do u do the the older version of ur gadgets? I'm sure if a new version of iPhone comes out, u'll get it... do u sell 'em off in secondary market? if so, wht's the resales value like?

siron: In my view, it is not useless lah. I am so looking forward to iBook!!!!! Imagine reading a book on iPad wherever you are. I basically competes with the same service by AMazon. Only this time, it is much kewler! Of course I am getting it too.

yikes. Stupid rules. But I have iTunes UK account. So I guess I wont be affected.

to have iTunes account say frm US or other countries... Actually its quite simple. Anyway Lieb, when they claim batt can last up to 10 hours... haha we gotta take note its " UP TO" . So if you watch movies all the way... haha its gonna drain big time.

Example like my mbp, batt up to 7 hours. But if I watch movies... 2 hours it would almost be flat. But then again i believe iPad should be able to last much much better then mbp looking at its run down specs.

surfers - if you are looking to replace your notebook with iPad, then i suggest not. Cuz iPad cannot do what your notebook can do. You cannot edit photos, you cannot multi-tasks etc. Quite alot of limitation as compared to a full fledge notebook. If I were to travel , I would still bring my Macbook Pro accompanied with iPad :) hehe

I read that we can create US or any other country's account but when making payment, they will recognize our credit card place of issue. The only way is to get someone in US to purchase the store Giftcard send it to you or just give you the giftcard code so you can use for your purchases from Itunestore? Can anyone advise?

dun yr scare that the item will disappear half way thru the mailing? There's a case a guy purchase an antique watch from oversea and the watch is gone during the mailing. He can only claim $150 back from the postal company for lost... the watch cost $650plus if i'm not wrong.

Just  for laugh.

photos can just edit with an app.. of coz will have some limitations. but yah, multi tasking is impt :x and flash....

yup billing address needs to match with the store location. i was lucky to have credit card in the US when i was studying there... hmm not sure how the giftcard works. if u can create an account just by using a giftcard then i guess it would work. but i believe somewhere in the registration it will ask u for an address again. that might be checked against the store u selected.
