abstract from the article

This couple’s savings and investments will hit $1 million before they turn 39. And $2 million by age 46.

When did your savings and investments reach $1 million?

it's not 1M in liquid cash, includes investments, which can come in the form of properties/stocks
Sorry, I misread the article.

But property investments (which is also everyone's niggest investment) cannot be considered as one's asset until the loan is fully paid for. Meanwhile, the property remains the bank's asset. The bank holds the title deeds. The bank is the rightful owner.

Whether you have 1 million or not is 1 thing, even if you make 1 million and dunno how to enjoy or live to the fullest, even you have so much $ oso no use. It will become in chinese we call 守财奴 (tightwad). So is important to balance up the playing and saving :)

Yeah not forgetting health is gold and priceless...  Even though my uncle was inherited about 1 million dollars after his mum's death, he was met with an accident followed by cancer and since then mobility is a big big issue till now.  My aunt have to use the fund to employ maid for him and calling ambulance services to and from services and operations , hospitalisation, etc.  During before she employ maid, she has to push the wheelchair around has hurt the kneecap unknowlingly and now was found to have blood in one of her kneecap and the was advise that the other kneecap is going to happen the same too.

Sigh...

The biggest joy in life is to be a Philanthropist because you can never bring all those monies & wealth with you when you are gone.

Having said that, be very extra careful on who you give.
