2. Genting Int’l to pour another $590m into IR – BT, p2
3. Rewards for Genting staff amid losses – TODAY, pB1&B3
4. Genting pumps another $590m into Sentosa IR – TNP, p6
5. IR budget to increase by close to $600 million – ZB, p1
6. Genting says Sentosa integrated resort bill could rise to S$6.59b - CNA (19 Feb 2009)
7. Resorts World at Sentosa to top out first hotel this month - CNA (19 Feb 2009)
Singapore’s two integrated resorts (IRs) developers, have revised their cost estimates upwards for a second time.
An additional $590 million will need for the Sentosa project, while the price tag for the Marina Bay Sands development has gone up by US$900 million.
The extra money was needed for improvements to the design of the casino projects, and also the projects awarded earlier do not benefit from prices softening since the global financial meltdown.
Resorts World at Sentosa is slated to open on schedule by March next year, and Marina Bay Sands is expected to open in the fourth quarter of this year. |

price are like what other theme parks are charging like HK Disney and Aus Uni Studio and Dreamworld... i only find the add on fee for jump queue a bit too much.. but then... there's a price to pay if you want to skip the queues.. i can see how much it will cost me for a weekday tip with my family liao... entry about $180 for 3.. incl meals n souvienors easily $300.... add in hotel stay... can start to choke up krisflyer points liao... hahah |

I wonder why they charge so much ($30) for express pass when Disney do not charge at all. Shouldn't they provide express pass for free to reduce waiting time a form of customer service? |

In order to put pressure on Resort World to reduce rates, locals shd just bycott it and wait for it to drop prices before visiting it. |

Though I would like more discount, those who had traveled would have known that Resort World Universal Studio Park rate in SG are cheaper than elsewhere e.g. Japan and US's Universal Studios are close to or above $100!
