River Valley Pri offers both normal chinese and Higer chinese.

They will alocate students for Higer chinese class based on SA2 result in P1 and P2.

 

My son is taking Higer chinese in P3.

Hi,

Any one trying to transfer your child (P5, next year) to the school (Cantonment primary??) building near by Pinnacle@Duxton next year?
When I called and checked with MOE, they will start any class except P1 only if the no. of children enough to start a new class/section.

if i remember correctly blk1c to 1d are withing 2km. based on last year registration excercise, balloting is needed under 2C

was thinking of putting my child to Kong Hwa but they don't ballot outside 1km! Hai! very troublesome with this P1 registration!

Called MOE and present attending school. MOE reply they will find a school for our P1 boy, is this how it is done?

Just to let you guys know, there is a government website which allows you to find the nearest schools of a landmark.

once in the website, click on "services" (the second icon on the top left corner), then click "school query". website will ask you to click on a landmark and tadah, all nearby primary schools will be shown.

Am now confused with the registering of my kid for P1. The school gave her a booklet and there's a few school listed under "central" Does it mean we can registered within that list? or we have to call the school one by one and check? Thanks in advance

My daughter came back last week with a booklet from the school about the registration of P1 and the district zone where schools are. I can only see CENTRAL but some of them seems to be 2KM away. So a bit confused as on which school.
My wife had in mind to register CHIJ (Kellock) since we are in phase 2b. But then she' worry as it's all girl school, worry that my daughter could become tom-boy. She had heard so much remarks and comments from friends about it.

Here It Is! Registration starts on 6 July.

Wondering are we still fall under phase 2C as it is a new school? The school will be on single session. Will there be any after school care? I don't hv maid & my parents are not staying with me, and definately I can't come back & to pick my son up at 1pm!!

Kim, so far Cantonment Pri is considered a new school as it is still under construction. However, in the MOE booklet, Cantonment Pri is listed under Bukit Merah area as it located behind The Beacon.
