Hi pierre14, Yes, I bought the 4 bedrm. I want an extra room as my kids study room. Went to visit a few dev around ponggol, hougang and sengkang, finally decide on flo because of the location and price (within my budget) This thread is so quiet. Aren't there more flo residence neighours? More than 250 were sold. Hopefully more will join in. |

Good choice! U also got the dry kitchen which i like alot too. makes the place looks more spacious Dunno the developer will agree us to modify the kitchen wall into a open kitchen during our reno I also wonder why Flo threads (the other at condosingapore forum) is also very quiet. There wasnt any advertisment on Flo too. They seems to like selling quietly How do we check how many units sold? I went to the URA website, the numbers dont seem to match (maybe many bought haven exercise their options?

I checked this link on ura. It stated 266 units sold in May and my agent also told me 55% were sold by end May. However only 52 units had the caveats lodged. http://www.ura.gov.sg/realEstateWeb/realEstate/pageflow/price/submitSearch.do I like the dry kitchen too, big and make the place look spacious. And more important more storage space :-) I think the developer may allow you to knock down the wall, but the first year defect warranty may void. But why do you want to do that? I agreed that there wasn't many advertisment except in the newspapers. But the biggest advertisment they have are the cars as lucky draw. Read about this in the a few forums that the developer is giving cars away as lucky draw.

Hi, I am in stack 19 too! Their advertising is not too extensive. Actually we were aiming for RI launch but heard Flo advertising over the radio and decided to have a look. And the price fits our budget and the bedrooms are considered big. Was quite tempted on the 1st visit and we went back to book a unit the day after. Lol.. cos agent said the 1 of the units we shortlisted was taken and we were left with higher floor one. So chomp chomp and book before it gets more expensive. Btw, how to child proof the balcony besides fixing the grill doors? Anyone knows if the toilet window can be open? How to block rain from the yard window? |

Usually approved grill door is the only way. Some condo can install invisible grill but this is subject to approval.
Alternative which I did to my current place, I make a low height removable gate. The height is below my waist and so will not block my view and not make it look a "prison", but high enough to prevent my son to go to the balcony. When questioned by the MA, I told them it is removable (not a normal fixed grill) and they agreed to it. The only problem is that I have to forgo the balcony area because most of the time I put the grill in place.
The toilet window should be able to open, otherwise the "smell" has no where to escape.
As for the yard window, have to check with the MA if allow to install window. If the rain can get in easily, they may allow. |

What a coincidence Muffin. We are neighbours lol I am on high floor too This would be my 1st time staying in a condo. Will miss my HDB space (bigger Rooms, bigger kitchen) more concern on hanging clothes so now is all hang indoors (think must get dryer)

bndreve, We prob will need the balcony for drying clothes so grill door is the option. Invisible grill doesn't look very sturdy. Otherwise, child gate might be an option too but it would a long panel and we need 2 cos the other bedroom has balcony too. Lol.. Pierre14, Dryer is good. We bought one during the monsoon season and we no longer have to worry about clothes not drying in time. i think our unit should have some wind and sun from the yard window so maybe can fix those ceiling retractable poles for clothes. But have to see the space when the unit is done. The dryer/washer area is tall enough so can get stacking units. I have been to some condo showflat whereby it's hidden in a built-in cabinet under the kitchen. One thing that i do not like about the kitchen is that there is no decent sized drawer. |

Yes, I am also thinking of those retractable ceiling pole. Otherwise there is no space for hanging clothes. Dryer is a must. just that not all clothes can be put into the dryer. |

I don't think can install at the balcony. It's not allow. I intend to install at the yard area. |

Hi floresidence15, Welcome. Nice to "meet" you too. I consolidate the list of neighbours here according to stack no. Hopefully more neighbours will join in when the project TOP in a few years time. Then we can share ideas and tips on reno. Stack 03 - bndreve Stack 15 - floresidence15. Stack 19 - Muffin_gal, pierre14 Flo residence's thread seem to be more quiet as compare to other threads for other project. Maybe we should start talking "nonsense" here to attract more neighbours to come in when they goggle. :-D I can start with that. Did anyone of you attend and book the unit during the vvip preview for flo residence? Actually I wanted to attend the vvip preview, but my agent did not reserve a place for me. Told me there were already more than 400 cheques submitted and cannot accept anymore. She told me to go at 2pm during the public launch. I was quite pissed off then. Coincidentally, the day before the vvip, another agent called me regarding RI. I told him I am interested in flo and he said he can get me a vvip slot together with another buyer. I am quite surprised that he could do it and go with him for the vvip preview. As my name was not registered as vvip, I cannot book a unit even though I have make up my mind. I have to wait until 2pm sharp during the public launch to book my unit. I glad I did as I went down in the evening around 5pm the same day, all units for my stack except level 14 were sold. Hopefully all of you are not "bored" by my "nonsense". :-P

Yes, I bought stack 03. I booked at 2pm sharp after the public launch. I think I am the first one to book for public launch.
I guessed the first agent thought I was not interested in buying, just someone who go around "kpo". Or maybe it's really full as the vvip preview was very crowded in the morning I went. I have to wait for about an hour before we can go in to view the showflat. I am quite pissed off with her as she did not even try to get me a slot even though I informed her weeks in advance, while the second agent did it for me within a day. So I decided to buy from the second agent.
What photos are you referring to? |
