Hoping the EC site will be sold sooner than later cos I don't want the piling to start when I live there, think will be super dusty and noisy lor... The agent said feo will put in a bid for the EC site to control the price of property there. Dunno real or not...
Did they say got shopping mall? I think got some shops lah... The bto site don't look big enough to have mall there...

I think the plan was for a mall in relation to the Remaking Hougang Masterplan. No one had triggered off the site from the reserve list yet but I guess its because they are waiting for the release of the Nov BTO (which should also detail the developement ard the area) before triggering off the bid..

Will remaking hougang still take place since most of hougang is opposition territory?

Haha well I did ask the agent the same question that time but his logic was that since its connected to a reservoir which will determine our water supply, the plans will remain.

Nevertheless I think your question can be answered today by comparing the artist impression during the remaking announcement and the actual launch today ;p

based on the site plan, it's not a mall ... just some shops linked to the carpark.
better than none i guess ..
will see if the BTO plans good enough to trigger the sale of the EC site.

btw, anyone has any idea boathouse falls into which GRC/SMC?

the land opp BH , across Upper Serangoon View road , the land along the river will be all residential , including BTOs , so Boat house 's view of the river will be blocked.
first batch of BTO is November 11 : Hougang Capeview.

can refer to URA master plan , is shows residential with ratio 3.0

Yup...
That's what the agent said so in the end we bought the pool facing low floor since there's not going to be much view anyway...
But I still hope that the stretch along boathouse would be low rise development ...
