Hi nightsky :)

I am using the Daikin Inverter now and it is really quiet. However, you should see other members opinion before deciding on one :)

I'm using Daikin too. noted that Citylights, Kerrisdale, The Sail are using Daikin. It seems to be a favourite brand among the developers.

I dunno. Maybe it is the most energy conserving and also the cheapest?

Yet, today's papers show Mitsubishi aircon has 4 ticks and could save > S$700 per year if your current aircon is not energy efficient kind.

You can check if your aircon is energy efficient or not here.

the not so cooling part was also one of the reason why the person i mentioned changed her aircon system...

i have been using sanyo since years back till now.. no problem.. touchwood..

Thanks bluemoon, was seriously considering Mitsubishi but after what you said I'm having second thots.....I've been using Carrier for the past ten years and thankfully nothing serious went wrong, however I remember in the beginning we had some noise (boiloing sound) problem which took a looong time to solve, and eventually it went away by itself. The tech can't diagnose the problem, and then there was this parts availability problem which makes me not want to use carrier again......How's those korean brand ? Anyone using them ?

got Sanyo too. but recently it caused electric shock, so i didnt have air con usage for the hottest days and I was really suffering.. however, the air con man came and didnt find anything wrong. Tested and it works again. The Sanyo has been with us for over 10 yrs already... maybe it's just old..

Am thinking of changing to Daikin.
