Sounds cool with the condo alike name.

But I thought gramatically, it should be named 'Boon Lay Meadows' with a 's'.

Prices are on the high side.

Just back in 2004, a brand new BTO 4 room flat in town next to Farrer Park MRT near Novena costs just S$270,000 for a mid floor unit.

Prices have risen drastically, at a much accelerated rate than buyers' pay rise.

If I already apply for SBF can I still submit my application for the BTO? Will my application for SBF be forfeited? Think by the time when the result for SBF out, the application for BTO already closed. Just dun want to waste a chance to apply.

You can also apply this BTO.

Just select the one you rprefer if you are shortlisted to select a flat for both developments.

I must salute HDB for coming out with smaller flats, and thus cheaper and easier for new couples to buy their dream home..

Hi,

I'm new here, and saw this BTO and would like to apply.
Is it advisable to apply for the HLE before applying flats?
As my friend who apply, she said no need, only wait til selection then apply HLE.

Please advise.

I'm quite keen to apply Boon Lay BTO.

6.4 An applicant who has selected a flat under the “Build-To-Order System (BTO)” will have his other existing application (if any), cancelled.

Looks like you SBF application may be forfeited.

Ref here:

7.2 HDB Loan Eligibility Letter (HLE)
Applicants will need to apply for an HDB Loan Eligibility Letter (HLE) if they intend to obtain an HDB loan in their flat purchase. They may be granted a mortgage loan of up to 90% of the purchase price of the flat, subject to full utilisation of available balance in the CPF Ordinary Account and credit assessment.

Applicants who are eligible and are obtaining a mortgage loan from HDB are required to produce a valid HLE before they can exercise the Option to Purchase by signing the Agreement for Lease. Applicants who fail to produce a valid HLE when they exercise the Option to Purchase would not be granted a mortgage loan from HDB in their purchase of the HDB flats.

If the applicant(s) is/are not using CPF monies to pay the monthly loan instalments or if the CPF monies are or shall become insufficient, the applicant(s) shall pay the monthly loan instalments through GIRO.

If the applicant(s) is/are using CPF monies to pay part of the monthly loan instalments, the applicant(s) shall pay the remaining part of the monthly loan instalments through GIRO.

Applicants have to submit a GIRO application form duly completed and signed before a mortgage loan is granted by HDB.

The approval of the loan shall be at HDB’s sole discretion and is subject to HDB’s prevailing rules and regulations and such terms and conditions as may be imposed by HDB.
