My family will be moving to Tampines very soon once The Premiere confirms its TOP. Heard it's gonne be somewhere near Nov/Dec 2008. Being a vegetarian family, not sure whether there are any nice vegetarian food around?

perhaps, rental is higher in Tampines. Many places have increased their food prices. Hard to find food for S$2 now... |

I tried Just Greens @ the Sengkang outlet. Not bad. Price is reasonable. Nowadays the avg you pay for a meal is between $3-4. Can't really find food selling at $2 and can fill up ur tummy

Agree. Currently, I've been eating at Bedok interchange - S$2 for 3 dishes + rice or Mee Hoon + 2 dishes. But everyday eat... sian.
Discover a new vegetarian eatery at Blk 801 called 自在斋。 "Chicken Rice" at S$2.50. You may wanna try.

hey LuckyStar, thanks for the recommendation.
If you happen to drive to Circuit Road, do try out the Vegetarian food there. When my hubby brought me there, I was so amazed by the number of stalls there selling vegetarian food. It's like a vegetarian food paradise (to me). I was totally spoilt for choice. Here's the link

I know simei to tampines is one mrt stop away...but got one vegetarian cafe cum restaurant is nice, can be comparable with just greens standard.

How to go there:
- By bus - Bus number 9, 12 and 38
- By car - you can park your car at the metta building allocated carpark
- By MRT - take train to Simei MRT station and walk about 15 minutes. If you do not know the way, ask people around you, they will be able to guide you. Else you can take bus 38 opposite Eastpoint and alight at the 4th stop
