It's crazy that I hv a 2nd Bedok project. They are however like chalk and cheese. One is contemporary and the other one is Japanese. Here is the contemporary one which belongs to a dear friend. It's a corner flat in Bedok town centre in a very old block. It is a top floor unit. By the time we finish, this flat will probably not look like a Hdb flat at all! I'm thrilled.

I don't know why the floor plan is not appearing no matter how many times I tried pasting it. Maybe Galaxy can help.

Anyway it's a typical 3 room flat with 2 bedrooms. But we will be demolishing all walls to opt for an open plan living. This will create a very large flat. We will convert the front bedroom into a living room. The kitchen will shifted to the front and be combined with the living room. There may be issues with sink but we shall see. Went shopping for furniture today and my friend has made 2 major acquisitions for the flat already. Got a fantastic sofa at the Space sale. Sofa called Bend by Patricia Urquiola at a massive discount!

It's a huge sofa that comes in 2 pieces. If you put them end to end it's about 4.2m. Well the living room is 7.6m long! So we will hv space.

The curvature of the sofa will break the monotony of the edges of the typical Hdb flat. Anyway, my friend has also decided on the bed. It's the Hepburn bed by Matthew Hilton from Dream interiors. It's at a hefty 40% discount! Fantastic bargain.

Galaxy: I snap a pic of the plan on my iPhone from an email attachment. So it shd be a jpg. I'm attaching it here again. Hope it works. It's a typical 3 room Hdb flat but it's bigger because it's the corner flat and so the corridor is incorporated into the flat.

Rosy: it comes in 2 pieces lah. Shd fit in the lift. Lol. Otherwise the Bangla must carry 10 floors up.

My dining table in hong kong is in storage. It's such a beautiful table. Will
Loan it to my friend and ship it back to Singapore. It was my first acquisition in HK when I first arrived here. It's a beautiful table with a unique green surface like speckled deep green marble. I had never seen a table quite liked it. It was love at first sight.

The base of the table is very solid and quite distinctive.

Instead of the steel bertoia chairs, the table will be paired with these chairs. I love the architectural legs! The mustard fabric will match the green marble table top beautifully.

I saw the floor plan.

This is a 3 1/2 room flat. Bigger than the normal 3 room flats and almost similar in size to the new 4 rm flats of today, minus a room.
