Oooo.. My secondary school classmate's mum used to stay in one of the units back in mid-1990s.. Think it was at Blk 28 if I'm not wrong. A 2-rm flat. |

Seems like a pretty large site. Possible location for another DBSS. :) |

Another hot property in the making but i guessed it should be put on hold first. if you looked ard in Toa Payoh, there are a lot of old flats that are still around, maybe a SERS program for them. |

Hmmm that's an interesting question. If it's true, then we'll probably won't see this site Blk 28 - 33 becoming a DBSS but rather a SERS project. |

Blk 28, 32 & 33 is 3-room flats and Blk 29 - 31 is 2-room flats. 3-room flat owners are under SERS who mostly already move over to Blk 79 latest HDB building. Each precint only one DBSS project might be true as I also ever heard from one of the property agent b4, but was unable to verify from HDB website. This plot of land most probarly convert to another HDB flats for resident of Lor 8 Toa Payoh maybe after the next election as the flats there mostly 20 plus coming 30 years. |

Yes, the flats will be used for rental. I got this piece of information quite early this year. |

How about a new species, HBSS2.0 :) It is just opposite sports complexes, thus, seemingly have "own" gyms, swimming pool, and even a football field :) Blk 29 is not affected. Can't remember if about blk 31, also 2 room. Blk 30 is 3 rm, where my bro bought a resale and later through SERS got a blk79 #39 unit :) During CNY this year, heard from a relative that her company is renovating it for rental, [at least] 3 years. Seems like an obvious speculations that residents of Lor 8 Toa Payoh (the part under Potong Pasir) will be dispersed once PAP get it back, or may be even b4. Should I bet on it and buy a resale in Lor 8 now? |

Those block 23X point blocks at Toa Payoh near Braddell Road are a good bet.
5 room >20 flr going for just over $400K before grant.
For those who want new flat, this is a good way through SER scheme.

For those looking at this plot to be redevelop, I'm afraid you got to wait at least a while longer. After months of sealing it up (all ground floor units were locked up, access to higher level were barred via metal grills at ground floor), Blk 28 have been given a new coat of paintwork while the ground level grills have been removed. Got an updates from the RC ppl that the few blocks will be used as rental flats (not sure is it temporary measures and for Singaporean/PR or for FL). The classic dragon playground will be dismentle....

Or the place will be used for quarantine?
Hi,
Not possible as the only area in SG for quarantine usage is the aloha resort. And that area is a highly populated residential area, wrong area for quarantine usage as there are no fence nor security around the area.

Anything can happened and implemented... Now the aloha resort can only act as temp measure... Imagine if really outbreak not just local will get it singapore also alot of foreign worker... Do you think Singaporean don't mind staying with foreign worker??? Furthermore even if all singaporean, I think might also mind sharing same room with stranger... |
