I actually completed the Leg before the one coming to Singapore from Australia. Sailed from South Africa to Australia.
Passion: Most of us in the race are amateurs, and trust me that there are a lot of wobbly legs and seasickness going around. But in the end, all of us are extremely proud of ourselves completing the feat, even though the Uniquely Singapore team tends to have a penchant for finishing seventh in the race... :P
Thanks and will look into it. |

Press Releases
18-April-2008
Marina at Keppel Bay is ‘Best New Asian Marina/Yacht Club of the Year’
Marina at Keppel Bay has been named ‘Best New Asian Marina/Yacht Club of the Year’ at the Christofle Asia Boating Awards 2008.
This is the first year that the award, ‘Best New Asian Marina/Yacht Club of the Year’, was introduced and a total of eight marinas from Dubai, China, Thailand and Singapore were nominated for the award.
Entrants for this award category were assessed by a panel of 20 industry experts from around the region on the facilities, berthing systems, procedures and systems and overall service standards.
Into its fourth year, the prestigious Christofle Asia Boating Awards, which took place on 11 April 2008 in Shanghai, recognises the best in the leisure marine industry.
Receiving the award for Marina at Keppel Bay was Mr Francis Olsen, Chief Marina Officer.
Mr Olsen shared at the ceremony, “The guiding principle for Marina at Keppel Bay is simple, that is, to offer best-in-class services as we strive towards becoming Asia’s signature waterfront lifestyle destination of choice.”
Located on the private Keppel Island, Marina at Keppel Bay was officially opened by Singapore’s Senior Minister Goh Chok Tong in January 2008.
Marina at Keppel Bay is the only marina in Southeast Asia managed by a fully-trained and qualified marina management team. The Marina team members, from senior management and service crew to administrative staff, have all attended a marina management course conducted by Australian marina specialist, Marina Industries Association of Australia.
The Marina features state-of-the-art modern concrete Unifloat© floating berths designed by global leader Bellingham Marine Industries. It will have capacity for 170 yachts, including with individual berths for mega-yachts of up to 250 feet. Marina at Keppel Bay is the first marina in the region to have a reticulated vacuum sewer pump-out system. |

The price looked justified with fresh airflown ingredients from Japan and... authentic Japanese Chef's culinary art?
Remembered a few years back, I had a S$100 Feed At Raffles voucher. then, brought my brother to Inagiku.
We were surprised to see Japanese women in Kimono serving at the tables.
When we saw the prices on the menu, we had a bigger shock!
Decided to share a Tempura Moriwase and 2 bowls of fried rice... and that costs us S$105!
So, back to this, the teppanyaki set looks affordable comparatively
