Anchorpoint provides excellent shopping for those who live or work around Alexandra Road. Here, you will find Disney Naturally, a first-ever Disney-branded café-healthy eatery, a cluster of premium brand name boutique outlet stores, Cold Storage, Zhou's Kitchen by the Tung Lok Group and Koufu alongside specialty shops that deal in home furnishing, gifts and apparel

The mall is mainly for residents at Anchorage I supposed? Mostly, home-related stores and eateries e.g. Cold Storage, Poh Khim, Home-fix, Pet shop, Times book store, revamped food court on B1 etc. |

If we were to be making a trip to Ikea, we will quite often eat at Anchorpoint - TCC, Xin Wang or Jack's Place.
And if we are there about 8ish in the evening, we will pop by SwissBake to take advantage of their 2 for the price of 1 offer at 9pm.
We rarely get anything from the Cold Storage Anchorpoint as they accepts only HSBC credit cards and we prefer to use UOB cc.
Other than F&B outlets, we have also patronized Home-Fix, Pets Lover Centre, Big Book Shop and Systematic Laundromart.
Every now and then, there would be some mall promotions. We have gotten for free a few $5 Jollybean vouchers, a $10 Big Bookshop voucher.

I love Anchorpoint, before and after the make-over. Before the reno, we had Oscar the eating place but now the food court is in the basement with more choices. Besides the food, there's Cold Storage which I go for some stuff not obtainable in the heartland grocery-shops around Tanglin Halt Block 46s. Then if I have more time to kill (especially during holidays) with Ikea being open on public holidays, I would go to have my favourite poached salmon lunch at Ikea. So CS is really very convenient for me if though I'd need to take bus 61 which is so erratic in timing!!! The new refurbished Anchorpoint is even better than before. Can't wait to see the Christmas arrangements yet. Will do so soon. |

anchorpoint is a rare, selling gd brands at low price (factory outlet mostly). decent range of variety as well. the problem is parking is so limited, got to park at ikea or queensway shopping (but both are packed as well). |

Anchor point used to be a boring place seriously, nothing special to buy and blah blah blah... After it was reopened, there are more options now. For once, it resembles to me a compressed version of the old Clementi, with those beauty salon, gift shop and stuffs like that. A casual place for a weekend of 1-2 hours if you'd like to be there. |

Lately I noticed more bicycles parked / chained to the railings at Queensway Shopping Centre. Anyone can advise how to cycle from Tanglin Halt to Anchorpoint vicinity bypassing the AYE section? I thought of a route that looks like a detour: Tanglin Close, down to path alongside Commonwealth Dr MRT station (same side as Sheng Siong), cross the big Cross section and cycle down to Queenstown, same side as Stirling Road then on to those auto showrooms before turning into Alexandra Road going up to Ikea. I'm sure there's a better way of cycling there... Any recommendations? |

If you're living in Tanglin Halt, why don't you use Queensway only 4 bus stop a way.

one alternative road i can think of will be from Tanglin Halt Cloae ---- tanglin halt rd along the road to indian temple--- main road cross the overhead bridge to Police Special Force --- route 1a - turn towards MDIS - striling road - turn right at after stadium- go striaght along mei chin rd - you will see the petrol station at the end of min chin road turn right and it will lead y to queensway road - queensway shopping will be your right across the road. turn right before the junction and u will .... route 1 b - turn towards the queensway flyover and go straight.... u may have s slight problem at the flyover not sure if bicycle can go through.......... I not a cyclist but i use to walk to queensway or anchor point from tanglin halt before the flyover was open....... always use striling road and at mei chin rd i cut through the blocks........ |

Thank you! Route 1a sounds very practical. Since it's not a direct point A to point B kind of cycling routine but leisure, going through Stirling Road and Mei Chin Road fits. I have never walked from Tanglin Halt to the flyover but that stretch seems pretty hazardous anyway. |

i say so coz the road through the flyover might not be good for cyclist.... down hill and blind spot..... as there is a curve under the flyover......... |
