When I approached the platform, I was shocked to see a crowd on every platform door. I raised up my head only to see next train is in 6 minutes time. ARGH! What happens to the 2-3 mins a train(NEL is slower on the train frequencies)? SO SLOW...Luckily I was early and could afford to wait, after all I don't have much of a choice. Taking a bus would take ages to reach my destination.
Yeah, its April fool's day. I woke up in the morning, expecting to be fooled within this special day. I was used to having memories of pranks during this special day, when I was still a kid
Well, a teenager now, and I'm doing my internship, so I thought I would be safe from any pranks or jokes. My trip to office goes on as usual, taking the LRT to Punggol MRT station. When I approached the platform, I was shocked to see a crowd on every platform door. I raised up my head only to see next train is in 6 minutes time. ARGH! What happens to the 3-4 mins a train? SO SLOW...Luckily I was early and could afford to wait, after all I don't have much of a choice. Taking a bus would take ages to reach my destination.
The train came, the seats were filled. I had to stand in the end. The train was pretty packed when it pulled out of the station. By the time it reached Hougang station, people already had to wait for the next train or hope that someone alights at the station so they could rush in. I could see many frustrated faces on the station's platform. By then, I was relieved that I was on the train and not outside, waiting and feeling pissed off.
No announcement of what was happening was made, at least they did announce that the trains are coming on a 6 minutes interval. Mind you, 6 minute interval on a peak rush-hour
This got to be an April fool joke huh. Wondering would it be one of the software glitches or something else...What a way to start on an April Fools Day. Happy April Fools Day people
Note: The above is true and not some prank or joke I'm making lol. I know it sounds like one, but its not. Cheers!
