With so much publicity about NATAS Fair. Is it deal or no deal?

This is my first visit to NATAS Fair.
NATAS Fair 2008 is at Expo Hall 4B and 5.
To avoid weekend crowd, I took afternoon leave to book the tour today.
There are quite a number of people waiting at Tanah Merah station to go to Expo station where the exhibition is.

The entrance fee is S$3. But, I went in FREE.
hehe... actually, I didn't know what really happened. There was a Mastercard booth after exiting Expo station fare gates. The Mastercard staff was like moving the crowd to queue for complimentary entry using their credit card that has Mastercard logo on it.
They stopped accepting people into the queue after 5min. Probably, not enough complimentary passes? Anyway, I didn't wait for long. Just 5min queueing to reach the counter.
Their complimentary pass is like a tag that patients wear in a Hospital. See the pink tag?

Road to the exhibition hall is not very crowded. Still okay.

Many travel agencies, insurance companies, travel goods etc etc...

People, people everywhere... but, not as bad as IT Show on weekends... could hardly walk!
That's the Mastercard lucky draw booth in the picture. You queue with with receipt - payment made with Mastercard to get a parking coupon look-alike ticket. Then, head towards the front with a TV screen to see what you win. Collect the item on the other side.

CTC Booth...

Going Taiwan?

AIG Insurance gave away free recycling bags so that you can keep all the brochures collected. I had already decided on Tradewinds' Japan tour, so I didn't collect. Simply head towards the counter to book and pay for the tour. I spent less than an hour in there.

Air Asia is there too...

CTC has the biggest booth! See the crowd...

Hong Thai Travel...

... and many more travel agencies. See the map below. Click to see a bigger map.

Won this at the Mastercard sure win lucky draw. Mastercard should have provided something easier to carry. I was carrying a laptop and a handbag! It was really tough carrying this box. Wonder if I was lucky or not when I saw it.
If only I had won a pair of Macau tickets... would not have to take a cab (S$15.80 including S$2 Expo surcharge) to carry this back. That's my busybody shih tzu at the corner...

You can get these door gifts after showing your booking slip. Aqurea moisturing cream, AVA Education Tags on food items, not sure what from NEA and a small packet of Milo.

Frankly, besides the lucky draw and freebies, I don't think it's a BIG deal to go NATAS fair.
